Comments / Requests
• I have a class in the Mandeville (around Revelle college) that will end at 4:50pm every Monday and Wednesday. Is it possible that quizzes are a little later?
• I‘m not good at expressing myself and I’m afraid my class performance will be lower
• I think the class participation aspect would be more complicated since there are more
students in the classroom and less number of chance to make useful contribution through
comment.
• the PUID section of this form is only numbers, but ID’s have a letter prefix
• Please try to increase the speech volume when students are discussing because the
voices of students overpower the voice of professor.
• Professor, please try to end class on time if you can.
• I noticed that I failed to submit this form by the end of the class, and hope this late
submission will work!

Here are 7 ways to help you come up
with your Big Idea (from Chic CEO):
1. Start asking friends and family or post to Facebook/Twitter, “What is
the most annoying thing you have to deal with on a daily basis?â€
• Use these answers to start a conversation with them about what would make
that task easier and more enjoyable.
2. Think green
• There are so many wasteful activities that we engage in everyday. Take a look
around your house and determine what is the most wasteful, see if you can
improve upon it.

Here are 7 ways to help you come up
with your Big Idea (from Chic CEO):
5. Compartmentalize your household.
• Make a list of all of the rooms in your home and do some brainstorming in those
areas. Garage, kitchen, living room, playroom, backyard, office, etc.
6. Take a close look at any hobbies you or your family love, is there any
opportunity to create in those spaces?
• Maybe you are an avid runner and it sure would be great to have a water bottle
that had a secret compartment to hold your keys and ID.
7. Think of specific groups and brainstorm around their needs.
• Kids, women, couples, pets, etc.

“IDEO Product Developmentâ€
Preparation Questions
1. How would you characterize IDEO’s process, organization,
culture, and management?
2. Decision point: should IDEO accept the Visor project as is (on a
dramatically reduced schedule)? Should they try to persuade
Handspring’s management to change its aggressive launch
schedule? Or should they simply decline the project? In your
discussion, please consider the IDEO and Handspring
perspectives.
